This town is know as "The Quiet Resort" which is opposite to Rehoboth Beach, which is a major tourist attraction.
Just north of Bethany Beach is the six mile long Delaware Seashore State Park, which offers a buffer from Rehoboth Beach and Dewey Beach's noise.
There is also a large unincorporated area of multi-million-dollar beach homes and private condominiums between the state park and the town which also serves as a buffer.
Delaware real estate can be found in surrounding areas, even though this town is small.
Bethany Beach attractions include a summer seaside resort, sandy beach, motels, restaurants, vacation homes, and a short boardwalk.
It offers a "getaway" from Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach, and Ocean City, Maryland.
But best of all if you live anywhere near Bethany Beach, you have the choice of choosing a home away from the noise and near the water or a new home more near the nightlife of the beaches.
Home Buyer Tip
Don't go shopping for you new home without first talking to a professional mortgage loan officer.
The first step to looking for your new home is to find out what kind of loan you can qualify for and then get a pre-approval.
With a pre-approval you'll then know you're not wasting your time by shopping for a home outside your price range.
Also you will have the chance to correct any mistakes found on your credit report, which is very important to a better credit score. ;-)
